LOOKING AT THESE SOFT 8s, NOT SURE ABOUT BACKSPACING DIFFERENCES..

and this rustys lift.

i currently have 30x9.50s on my 98 xj right now and will get 31s when the wear out. the jeep is a daily driver so i want it to still be streetable. but still capable off road. will i need a transfer case drop or anything else with this lift?
also how do i tell what axles i have? are they marked? will be changing the diff covers too.
thanks

If you have a dana you will have a threaded drain plug and a bout a 2.75" axle tube and if you have a 8.25 you will have a 3" axle tube and a push in drain plug. The back spacing is the lower the number the more they stick out and the highter the number the more the rims are in. I have about a 4in back spacing on mine and im about 3.5 in lift.
