So me and my dad in the process of a complete rebuild on my 87.
However all of my old wiring is corroding and has add-ons that i dont know about and a million other little problems. So does anyone know where i might be able to buy a complete OEM wiring harness for my xj. something that i could cut and pull everything else out then just through in an entire new harness? any help or advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

(only after market i plan on keeping currently are my speakers and deck. but that is not hard.)

 

Search "painless wiring" google it, I bout harnesses from there b4 and have in stalled them. LISTEN TO MY ADVICE!! A direct oem harness (if they make it for that model) will run 6-900$ A make your own harness kit, which comes with the fuse block, a million wires running off of it, and all the assosiated FACTORY style terminals (need to install wires into all of them) Runs alot less but, if you have never done this b4, will run you about 20-40 hrs of install time.

 

You could go to the junkyard and try to pull a complete harness. Theres tons of XJs in the yards so I dont see finding one being too difficult.
