Default New tires

I know this may sound like a repeatative thread, but I'm rather indecisive and lack some experience in buying tires for 4x4. What I do know. The BFG A/T tires ##### then a whale blows water. I've ran those on my 1st stock XJ. They are great for gas mileage and being grocery getter tires.
I ran BFG Mud on my 1st stock XJ which were only 30"s and thought they were great. I'm now on my second XJ which has a Rusty's 4.5 inch lift. It is currently running bald BFG A/T 32".
So what I'm worried about is if I run a 32" mud that I'll get a loose play or feeling in the steering. I'm not too concerned with cabin noise. I don't find the Muds to be all that noisey like some ppl describe them to be. I was peepin the Good Year Duratrac tires, but they are on a massive back order and I don't know if I can wait a month for them to come off that back order. So I'm tryna get a back up plan. I was also considering running 31 instead of 32's. There are not many option really for a 32" tire. Seems it's 31 then a jump to 33's. Which I also thoughts about 33's but I've got stock axels and gearing.
So I guess what I'm trying to ask (in far too many words). Is what your folks experiences with running a lift of 3.-4.5inch and larger tires? Side effects. Things you dislike?
This is my daily driver (DD). But it's not a pavment queen either. I'm not a crazy wheeler. Just your average cat. Snow, rain, some trespassing.
I was kinda stuck on that Good Year tire b/c it seems like a really nice updated All Terrain tire and price wise, it's hard to beat.

Great input! It's nice to get some hands on feed back from someone with the experience. I was just gonna say, "Screw it." and get the BFG M/T TK2's. They come in a 32 whereas the duratrac's are limited with the 15inch rims.

I really did like the M/T's for the time I had them. I was just concerned with the mix of driving which is mainly highway and city and less off road then on road.

So I think what my plan now is. I'll stick with the 31inch Duratracs for (crappy there isn't a 32" for a 15 rim) and save up for a new set of rims and some more aggressive thread to mount to em.
Besides, I really don't like these black rock crawler steelies. rather generic and tasteless lookin IMO (in my opinion). Now I just need to find space and the funds for that second set of wheels and tires. I'm super diggin on these Champion Beadlock wheels sets. Kinda tuff lookin. The Micky Thompson Classics are pretty decent lookin too. Cheaper even.
