New or Rebuilt
So I have had my Jeep for almost five years now; it was my first car.
I am putting a new head on my 2000 XJ 4x4. And I was just wondering about something..
I have heard talk about the head casting in the 2000 XJ's being weak between the third and fourth cylinder I think; they are supposedly very notorious for cracking at that spot.
This being true, should I go ahead and by a new head with thicker casting, or should I be okay going ahead and rebuilding this head. Remind you I am a college student on a budget.
I appreciate any advice.

I've reviewed some of the forums on here, and I just need a bit more clarification.
It would be just fine to order a head for a 2003 Grand Cherokee presumable having the TUPY head?
Or would it be safer to go with ClearWater or Alabama

I don't know that's better per se, but I have only heard great things about Clearwater on here and other forums, and the price definitely seems right.
I've kept them in mind in case I ever need one, which hopefully I won't for a very, very long time.
