Default New Radiator?

I need to get a new radiator for my Cherokee. I know overheating is a big problem with cherokee's so I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a radiator that will help with this.

just did mine this weekend. i got a 3 row CSF for around $150 delivered to my house! took me about 2 hours to install thermostat, all new hoses. i am soo happy with it. my jeep used to heat creep, but no more! you will possibly need a quick connect tool for lower transmission line. good luck!

Get an all metal, multi-row. Try to avoid the plastic ones.

Also, you may or may not need the quick-connect tool for the transmission line. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to compress the tabs, gently wiggle and it popped off without a hitch. Just be careful if yours are badly corroded. You'll have to swap the receiver clip from the old radiator to the new one in order to plug it back in (or get a new one).

Cherokees do not have an over heating problem, people have a problem letting their cherokee operate at 210 degrees, buy the stock radiator and let your cherokee operate at 210 degrees, they love it

Just be sure you run all of the air out of the cooling system after you fill the new radiator. Let it run for a while, without the cap, with the heater on high, continue adding coolant @ the radiator neck until the level stops going down. Make sure you get it to 210 or so and the thermostat is open. You'll see air bubbles come out. It wouldn't hurt to do this over the course of 2 or 3 days just to make sure you get it all out. Air pockets can really hurt your cooling performance and/or cause an overheat.
