Default New radiator

Just tossed a new radiator ( Junk yard find, probably less then 1000 miles on it).
Its thicker then the stock one which makes me think it might be 2 core. Anyways I loaded it up with 50/50 coolant and drove it around for 20 min I could not get my engine temp to go over 150. It sat at right about 150 idling in the driveway.
I am just wondering if 120-140 is an okay operation temperature or if i need a new T stat or something.

Before it would be about 180 and creep over 210 at idle. I removed the condenser too.

thanks

Seems way to cold. Not sure why it would be that way unless sending unit is bad.

If all you changed was the radiator, I would suggest replacing the thermostat.
Sounds like its stuck open.

just the regular stock one? I just ran it today and the Tstat was working fine before the radiator swap.

Do I have to worry about messing anything up driving around like it is?

Running too cold is not like running too hot but you should try to find out why. For example the guage is reading 150 today and tommorrow it goes to 210 and you just think it went back to normal but you actual temp is 260. It is not right abd you should make every atempt at fixing it so you are not mislead. I really think you should look at the sending unit. The t-stat could be stuck open but I think it would still be warmer than 150 when stuck open because these motors run so hot.

So having a clogged stock radiator behind and completely clogged condenser, and now having no condenser on a 2 core brand new radiator would not make that big of a difference?

I still don't think it is running that cool. Test the temp at the t-stat housing with a temp gun. If you don't have one a local garage should.
