Default New Oil pressure sensor

I just replaced my sensor but still get a flat line on the gauge reading. Is it not tight enough? or any ideas?? Thanks

Replaced mine today because it was doing the samething. Make sure it's torque'd right and x2 on the connector. I replaced the whole wire because I wanted to make absolutely sure I was getting an accurate reading before I replaced the oil pump. Now I'm getting 30 psi at idle and 40-45psi driving along which I belive is pretty decent for as old as it is. 1990

Also make sure that you got the correct one. The one-wire and the two-wire sending units WILL fit in the same hole, at least on a 1996. If the original had 2 wires, and now you have one, it will automatically flat line. Don't ask me how I know...
