New Offroad Build..
Ok,
Looking for a little advice and confirmation..
I have in my ownership, two Cherokee 4.0L's a 1993 and 1998.
The 93 has 280K Miles and is full of rot, It will not pass its mandatory inspection without a shed load of welding.. So I won on ebay a 98 without a fuel tank as it had been LPG converted with underslung tanks, and the previous owner puctured both of road.
My plan is to move the 93 Tank and Pump to the 98 along with the tank skid plate. But If im correct the 93 is a three wire pump with the fuel pressure reg on the fuel rail.. Now im thinking I can get a pump and sender from a 96 (as they have the same metal tank) they have the presure regulator in the tank and no return feed and 4 wires? It is my understanding that the pressure to the fuel rail on a 96 is also 49 psi.. My only question really is will the sender work for the fuel gauge.
My other option is run the 93 pump and a inline presure regulator in the engine bay set to 3.5 bar (50psi).
Thought's comments.
Also have plans for..
4.5" Rough Country Lift
Or-Fab Front and Rear Bumpers
All to start with..
