I have 2 wires that look like ground wires I can't figure out where they go. I had help pulling the old one out (lol). No one can tell me where they go now. The jeep is done and ready to go but I don't want to fire it up till I figure it out, not even sure if it will. It's a 2000 4.0 with the coil pack. The wires are near the distributor. They are black with eye connectors. I have looked at all the books and online and can't find anything about it. You guys are my last hope before I tow it to a dealership. Any idea or suggestions ?

my 99 xj has two ground wires that sound like the same thing u have and they ground to the block near the dip stick bracket

 

Probably a block ground and the main cpu ground. pics would help.but i would check there.
