New Member, Jeep, Lift, and Bumper!!!
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and a buddy of mine and I bought a jeep last Monday... It was completely stock 93 Cherokee that was wrecked in the front... We lifted it 3.5 inches in the front with home made body mounts that sit on top of the coil spring, 3 inch blocks in the back. We lowered the transfer case an inch to help correct some of the pinion angle... We put a new set of 31x10.50 Buckshot x something mudders (have side walls on them) and built a big *** bumper with some driving lights on it... Thought I'd share the progress
Still like the back bumper, back up lights, kicker bars and some other odds and ends before she'll be done...

You know, that's the "little black cocktail dress" of jeeps, right there. Simple, straightforward and sweet looking.
Mine is almost identical, and you've got me thinking about ways to go with my build plans.

Looks good!! You may want to do something about the three inch lift blocks in the rear though. The leaves in an XJ are not very stiff, and if you wheel that set up that way it could damage something. Lift blocks cause axle wrap, and that can lead to axle failure quickly. Three inches is a very tall block for an XJ. I just wanted to pass that along. HTH!!

spacers are probably ok for the time being but save you up a little cash and make a bastard pack for the rear, those blocks seem to do wierd things. crack, twist and so on...
looks awesome and you are on your way.

oh man if you dont know about bastard backs then look them up. all you have to do is add leafs together and make one. there are many ways of doing this. look up bastard packs on here and other forums, theres alot of info on this and its really cheap. mine rides like stock leaf springs. this is the alternative to buying new leafs.

heres what i did. got a pair of front lift coilsprings of a guy on another forum for 40 bucks and got the bastard pack for free from a freind who lifted his upto 6.5 inches so he didnt want them in his garage, so my lift was about, well 40 bucks. my freind also gave me his old racho 5000 shocks for a 3.5-4.5 lift. so im in the lift, yep 40 bucks. but it took a while to find everything and research what i wanted. but here it is.

just 31's nothing hug, but i went with some wagon wheels that are 15x7 cause im not going with a bigger tire and you can air these down to about 8 psi, but i run them at 12. i have gotten ride of my fender flares and the cops dont bug me cause my tires stick out about an inch only.
wheels= 40 bucks off craigslist and 10 bucks in paint for them...

But I do agree that the OP's Jeep looks rather clean just as it is, very nice work! Keep us updated!
