First off hello everyone and from what I've seen an excellent forum!

I recently just for a 1989 Cherokee 2 door Sport and have a question about the front axle. I was underneath checking things out and noticed that the passenger side has the normal straight axle shaft and a u joint on the end. the drives side has what appears to be a cv type of axle behind the hub. I have to change the hubs out and was planning to change u joints while I'm in there but was a little bewildered by this? Any insight as to why it might be this way, and maybe some pics of users front axles so i could get an idea what I'm seeing. Thanks!
