Default New lifters shorter than what I pulled out

I am replacing lifters at the moment, and when I pulled out a couple, I noticed that the new ones are about 2 mm or so shorter than what was in the engine. I don't know if the ones in the engine already were out of spec replacements or what. The part I am using are the sealed power ht-2011 lifters. I can't see any markings on the old ones.

Makes me a little nervous putting in lifters that are not the same size as the old ones. What do you think?

It would make me nervous as I understand from reading this site they have to be pre-loaded with the pushrods by ~.040" (1mm)...but it is adjustable

There is a guy on this site who has posted on it many times, including recently, fxb97 or something like that

I would search the archives

more knowing posters than me will soon pipe up (hopefully for you)

Honestly,, it does not matter what the old ones are.
What matters is you have the correct preload when you tighten the rocker to spec.

I had to get shorter pushrods when I assembled my stock 4.0
