Default New here and need help

I just bought this 89 jeep XJ for a steal of a deal, it has its issues though, but what do you want for $500. I found the wheels for $400. I found the jeep and the wheels both on craigslist. I'm having a fun time with the electrical system. Its clearly to me that it's not the battery nor the alternator.

1. main issue is that the headlights are dim, also when you turn the headlights on that the dash gauges (oil temp, thermometer, battery voltage, and fuel) all drop in power, temp, and level.

2. I'm undecided on what i should do since i'm new to the 4 wheeling world the front has a 2" spacer leveling blocks in the front and i think there's 1.5"
shackles in the rear.

i'm also unsure on what lift to go with... I only want to go with 1"-3" more but i really don't have the money to go much bigger at the time
the tires are 31x10.5x15 wildcats and 15x8 wheels
Thanks

What electionic are you running? Have you changed the battery? Also make sure all your ground are good and grounded.

x2...Dim headlights often indicate poor grounding. Make sure engine ground strap and body ground connections are clean/tight & shiny metal, not corroded..Also check Negative battery cable for tightness, corrosion, and possible excessive resistance.

Good luck!

As Finney says Grounds are the electrical problem and if you have the funds go for a RE 3.5" kit with full leaf packs.
