Default New guy here with a question

HI new to the forum , I've got a 98 Cherokee with the 4.0 , It's the SE model with the idiot lights on the dash . I was wondering if there is a way to hook up a coolant temp guage ? without having to drill any holes in the block or head ?

You can change out the instrument cluster with one that has full gauges. You can pick one up from the junk yard. But you will need to replace the sensors with sensors made for gauges and not for the lights.

You can just change out the instrument cluster. Its plug n play. No need to change out sensors/senders. I did mine on my 99 SE.

Apparently the dealer can reset the newer digital ones to read the same mileage as the old one, but I don't know how much it would cost. The old style ones can be rolled back but I dunno how that's done. Go ask a shady car dealer.
