new guy with ??? about repairing rear quarters
New guy here. I recently bought a 94 cherokee 4 door that had a few rust issues. i repaired the rocker panels and now am not sure what to do to fix the hole in the rear 1/4 behind the pass tire. I cut out all the rust already and am thinking i want to cut off the bottom of the panels and seal them up somehow. Its not my daily driver, just something to take to the local mud bogs around here so im not concerned about the look so much, just dont want mud and water getting in the cab. Any help? pics would be great! look at my profile picture to see the cancer spot.

hmm you could rivet/weld a piece of sheet metal in and herculiner over your lower trim =)
I had a rust hole in the same area, but luckily the hole was in the middle and not around the outside, so i just layed fiberglass over it.

ive had rust problems on my floorboards, but thats because i sank my jeep in water up to the door handles, and up to the window cranks on the inside, terrible choice, but i would just either weld or rivet a new piece of sheetmetal on the spot that you took out, and if you wanna really keep the water out, rip up the carpet, and check your floor everywhere, i just bought some cheap bondo and filled all the holes in my floor, and it never leaked again

the previous owner filled the rust spots in the rockers with bondo and it made the rust much worse. where I took the bondo out. the rockers were completly eaten away. If it were just a hole in the center of the 1/4's it would be an easy fix, but its the front and bottom of them. check out the pic in my profile pictures/

bump, another problem i have is that the E-brake cables seem to be too short and are coming out of the brake drums. is there 1's for another vehicle that would be long enought to work with a 3" lift?
