just got a new 1994 jeep cherokee country....very excited. wondering what maintenance i should do to make it my dd. also know i have a wheel cylinder issue (slightly warped), how hard is it to fix this/can i do it myself? if not how much does it cost? and anything else i should do just to do?

Ok, what do you mean by "wheel cylinder"? The wheel or the actual wheel cylinder in the rear drum?

Tune-Up Suggestions

Replace spark plugs, wires and distributor.

Clean the throttle body and IAC.

Clean out airbox and replace the air filter.

Change oil and filter.

Change differential fluid in front and rear.

Change Transfer case fluid.

Flush cooling system and replace with new coolant. Inspect hoses for wear and replace if needed.

Check and or replace power steering fluid.

Inspect serpentine belt and replace if needed.

Check tire pressure.

Inspect brakes and brake fluid level or drain and replace fluid.

Run a bottle of injector cleaner through the fuel system. (optional)

Replace the fuel filter.

Clean and or replace the CCV(?) lines and grommets on top of valve cover.

Check for any leaks of any sort and fix.

Replace transmission fluid (no flush) just drain and fill a couple times to cycle the old out.

I would run a few tanks of high grade premium gas through the system to clean it up but some may think it isn't necessary. It's just what I do.

Grease all fittings in the front end and front driveshaft extension.

Detail it and get it off to a good start. Clean the underbody of any remaining salt from the PO.

Wipers if you need them.

thanks, great info. will post before and after pics. it is the actual wheel cylinder in the rear brake drum. not sure if its 1 or both, the PO told me it was an issue. can feel it alittle.
