Default New brakes, spongy petal after start up

So i put new calipers, rotors and pads on the front of my xj yesterday. I bled the brakes and they are hard and stiff before i crank the jeep. Once i crank it there is no pressure. Petal goes to the floor and braje light comes on.

Help!!!

Did you not plug in the vacuum line?

Did you install non-standard parts?

Were the brakes working properly before installation of the new parts?

Did you install calipers on the correct sides with bleeding screw on top? (Having this wrong will cause bleeding problems but perhaps not the one you are having.)
