I replaced the shoes, hardware, and screw adjusters on my 92 over the weekend and the shoes rub pretty bad. I've got the screw adjuster in as far as it will go and they still rub. What's the deal?

 

Quite often they aren't sized properly at the manufacturer. I'd take a file to the portion of the shoe where the adjuster fits. If you run them until the lining wears off you will most likely over heat and warp the drum.

 

Either something didn't seat properly or you got the wrong shoes (this happened to me). A picture would be nice just to confirm

 

I got the 9"ones because I read that the 10"has the fins on the drum and mine do not have fins. Is there any way the e brake could be out of adjustment or something?

 

You can always set the old pads edge to edge with the new ones and if the curvature is different the sizes are different. Same diameter should have same curvature radius.

 

I did that and other than having a lot more material on the shoe, they were the same.
