Any quick fixes or bypasses out there?
Trying to get rid of jeep and it starts and runs but for no reason wipers would not turn off ?
Pulled relevant circuit breaker no effect assume wiper motor is under wiper panel but do not want to replace motor as yet
Any helpful suggestions gratefully accepted!

The most likely culprit is the Home Switch inside the motor. But first, disconnect the Wiper Switch wiring under the Steering Column to test whether it's the Switch or the Motor.

If you model has Intermittent Wipers, there will be a black box control module attached to the Lower Dash Panel, directly beneath the steering wheel. The Steering Column connects to one side, the Dash Harness to the other. If you don't have Intermittent Wipers, it won't have a black box, with the Steering Column connected directly to the Dash Harness. That's the wiring to the Wiper Switch. If you disconnect that and the Wipers keep going, it's the motor... Test that before cutting into the wiring. If that stops your issue, then you'll need to troubleshoot which of the outputs is causing your issue before cutting into the wiring because there's more than one possibility. In my estimation, there's a 90% chance it's the motor, and 10% chance it's the switch...

Personal opinion here, but I'd rather replace a Wiper Switch, than replace a Wiper Switch plug fix the PO's "fix". Similarly, if I was looking at buying a vehicle and someone installed a switch on the dash to run the wipers, it would reduce the value of the vehicle. After determining which is the issue, perhaps it would be better just to let the next owner fix it...
