New B Questions...
Hey guys, as you can tell with the name this is my first XJ and I have a couple of questions that I couldn't seem to find my searching the forums.
First off let me get the specs out there: 1995 sport 4wd 4dr auto 236k
First issue: Rear passenger doors will not open from outside. I have to reach in from the front to open them. They are of course not locked...Any suggestions?
Second issue: Cargo door will open but when locked I can not seem to get it unlocked and have to pull the panel from the inside to get it opened.
Third...this is going to sound stupid but how can I tell which rear axle I have? I have read up and found they used two axles this year. Is there anything I can look for? Shape of diff cover etc?
Cheers and Thanks for all the help.

Thanks, I am enjoying them so far. They are 30x9.5 BF Mudterrains, would not have been my choice for $1200 I think I got what I paid for. I think they would be alot better with a ARB air locker but am a beginner at gears and dont have the change to get one installed right now!

My answers in bold.

First issue: Rear passenger doors will not open from outside. I have to reach in from the front to open them. They are of course not locked...Any suggestions? Sounds like perhaps the plastic clips that connect the handle to the rod that connects to the latch mechanism have either broke or come off. I would pull the panel and take a look. They are usually L shaped and be found in most all parts stores.
Second issue: Cargo door will open but when locked I can not seem to get it unlocked and have to pull the panel from the inside to get it opened. I have heard this is an issue as well if the latch/lock is not kept lubricated. Once you get it unlocked and open, lube it up real good and use the key to lock and unlock it a few times while you still have the hatch open.
Third...this is going to sound stupid but how can I tell which rear axle I have? I have read up and found they used two axles this year. Is there anything I can look for? Shape of diff cover etc? Link has already been provided, so I have no useful input.
Cheers and Thanks for all the help.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try those this weekend.
The material is a Mossy Oak Breakup pattern with a pretty strong backing that I got from a place called Claudias Cloth Barn here in AL. I think you might be able to find it at your local hobby shop or anywhere that sells bulk material like that. I bought a 9ft x 5ft section and needed most of it. You could get away with just 8ft if you do not do the sound bar. I used the 3m Super 90 spray adhesive which was about 15 bucks a can at any hardware store. If you have any questions let me know and I will help, it was pretty easy though.
Thanks for the help guys!
