Default New 89 xj

I just bought another 89 xj, i was going to use it for parts but the only thing wrong with it is something electrical, the guy I bought it from said he thinks a relay is bad. It starts and runs for about thirty minutes then shuts off. Then it has to sit for an hour or so and it'll run for another thirty minutes. I was thinking this might be easier to fix then swapping the engines out of my other jeep but have no idea how to check relays,
would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

simple check if it's F.I., open your power dist box, fuel pump and 1 other relay are going to be the same, [check the part #] swap them, start the Jeep and see what happens, if it stalls, not the relay. if it still runs, you need a new relay. also, when and if it stalls, turn the key off, wait about 15 seconds, then turn the key on, do you here the pump prime? a slight humming noise. possible bad pump? check that relay thing first, hope this helps in someway.

Stumper's solution is what I would try as well. Let us know what you find. Also bypass the ceramic isolator on the drivers side wheelwell under the hood.
