Have the alternator tested. Take it off and take it to a parts store. Most will be able to run a test on it. Once your jump start the vehicle will it run fine? If so, it most likely isnt the alternator. You might have something constantly drawing off of the battery causing it to drain when it sits for a long period of time.

if you live too far from a parts store you can jump start it, and run it and disconnect the battery, if it still runs you have a 75 percent chance the alts good. and theres a way to check for a battery draw, just look through some threads and ye shall find it....if i knew how id just tell ya

You may have got a bad/new battery. If you put the old one in will it start? try a different batt. And do what anthony said. It will start without alt. Just have to charge the batt for a lil while.

sounds like electrical gremlins. i wouldnt think it was the battery or the alt. check for a draw and check your wiring.
and by no electrical, you mean, no lights, no radio no nothing?

That sounds like a dead battery to me. My gf's car did that. It wouldn't start. I had to jump it and let it run for a while. When i turned it off, it would start up right away. if i left it off for a day, it wouldn't start. The battery was dead and couldn't be charged. At first, i thought it was the starter and replaced that. Then i thought it was the alternator not charging the battery so i got a new one. Both didn't work so i replaced the battery and voila, fixed.

check the battery with a voltmeter when someone trys to start it for you, if it goes below 9.6 volts, the battery is no good.

I had a old car do that and it turned out to be a my starter drawing form my batt while off. Take the starter and alt in and have them tested. if good then it has to be a bad/new batt.

Or something else drawing off of the battery...

Disconnect the positive (I believe) battery cable and put a test light between the battery and the cable.. pull each fuse one at a time until the light goes out. That fuse will indicate which circuit you should look at.

You shouldn't sell it you should try your best to find what it may be
and pray about it =D
