My steering wheel has a ton of free play now and I can hear the Steering Shaft U-Joints clacking anytime I start to turn the wheel. I clearly need a new Steering Shaft or at least new U-Joints on my present Steering Shaft. I've been searching and all I can find are replacements for earlier (up to 1996) Cherokees. There is one listed on Amazon that claims it fits all XJ's but it does not according to the Reviews. And I found a video of it where it shows that there is a sticker right on the thing that says it is just for 1984 - 1996.
Does anyone know where I can buy a new Steering Shaft for my 1998 Cherokee XJ?
Thanks in advance,
John

I'll check the deadjeep site out. Thanks. I really wanted to get a new one as I'm sure any used ones will be about ready to give out given the high mileage most Jeeps have when they and up being parted out. Originally Posted by robsjeep

Wow - Thank you! I did a LONG Google search but somehow did not find that link. It's expensive but I'll pay it to get a new one. Thanks again!Originally Posted by lawsoncl
