puttin a 4.3, 700r4 and 241 t case set up in my 91 limited and was wonderin if any one that has done this had i good way to do the motor mounts the trans x member is no prob just tryin to find the best way to mount the motor

the guy i got it from trashed out the wirin so it needs lots of tlc and u can't run the 4.0 without all the computer stuff i can the 4.3

I have done it. It is just the same as putting in a V8, just more room left over. I used Advance Adapter motor mounts, but you have to use 3.8 exhaust manifolds with them for clearance. It is hard to cool, so you will have no cheap options for cooling. I also used a Painless wiring harness. It was quite a lot of work.

I have shorty headers. They are for an S10 with 4.3. I had to modify them and still had to cut some out of the frame so they would fit. The cast iron headers are a tight fit too, but not as tight as the shorties. Then I had ot put an extra u joint and bearing in the sector shaft to clear them.

Sure. But it was a lot of work, with more to come. I just finished a fast idle for the OBA. There will be other little things too.

thats good to hear i don't think i'll have any probs doin it i'm pretty good at fabin stuff up
