Default need new engine in 98 xj
I need a new engine in my 98, it has a 4.0 in it. I found a 4.0 out of a 97 wrangler with 86,000 miles on it, would everything be compatible for the swap?

Treat it as a long block swap. Put your accessories on the Wrangler engine.

+1 what Firestorm500 wrote. Some of the sensors are probably the same, but the accessory brackets are certainly different. Just use everything from your XJ.

A/c works only when engine is cold. Stopss when engine is hot
