never had to do a NSS but most people say if you clean it and put it back on it works fine 9 out of 10 times. and all '99s i know needed a TC drop at anything above 3" lift.

First try to adjust the shift cable and the NSS. This is the easiest to do. I had to adjust both on mine before it was right.

I have a 1999 cherokee as well, Just my thoughts but I would say you will need a t-case drop for sure on a 4". I am running a 4.5" but installed the SYE and CV driveshaft. If you just going to do the T-case drop- I would just install the lift and drive it a bit to see if there are vibrations and if so, then do the t-case drop. Most likely you will need it. But dont wait too long to put it in- have heard many times that after a while of the vibration the trans mount gets pretty worn down quick.

Good luck

Go-Jeep is generally referred to as "The Man" in the XJ world. Bookmark his page and read it often.

Yea- put in the T-case drop with the 4" kit at the same time. I was not sure in my earlier post if you had the drop kit already or not.

nope not yet, im gonna go with a RE tcase drop for thirty bucks, the lift will consist of 3 inch coils with a 3/4 inch spacer for front then a bastard pack in the rear with a one inch shackle, it should be interesting. any comments or concerns for this?

right now it has an RE aal, so i will add some other leaves im getting from a guy i hope, his pack has a aal and shackle, so i can add a shackle for the extra inch i need but i might add both to be on the safe side.
