I just got flat. I have a spare. I have a jack. I have the tire iron. Jacked it up. Removed the lug nuts. Wheel will not come off. Right-rear wheel. Almost looks like there is some sort of a locking thing in the center of the wheel that needs to be removed but I have no idea how or what tool would do such a thing. Maybe I'm missing something very obvious. Help is greatly appreciated. Brian.

yup, that's your typical aluminum on steel corrosion/seized wheel.
as a tow truck driver, i see these all the time.
you can stick the jack handle in through the rim and pry against the brake drum. if that doesn't work, as mentioned, kick or throw the spare against it.
sometimes i hit it with a 2x4 against the rear of the tire to pop it off.
and lastly, you can put the lug nuts on loose and drive erratically in a circle/figure 8 in an enclosed parking lot, of course so the wheel can pop off.
i've only ever had one wheel that was seized to the point of not being able to get it off.
you may need a tow.
good luck.

That happened to my jeep i had my sister come with her AAA and a tow truck came with a full sized sledge hammer. It took the guy a good dozen times with full swings to get it off. When i put my rims and tires on i had to sledge every rim off. Good luck.

Well thanks everyone for the assistance! Sure enough, whacking it with a 2x4 did the trick. I feel like a dummy. Just never had one stuck that bad. Thanks again!

great!....now don't forgot to clean up those mating surfaces so it doesn't happen again, try grease or anti seize on the surfaces before putting them back on......
