i am going to change my serpentine belt tomorrow and was wondering if you could tell me if i have to do any timing allignments before i take the belt off.
does it have a seperate timing belt /cam belt ?
or is the serpentine belt it,as it goes around the crank ?
thanks mark
Ive never seen a single vehicle where it would mess up anything just changing the belt... so your good... but next time you should start your own thread and not just magicaly post in someone elses about some other simple stuff...Originally Posted by fulhamboy@googlemail.com

Cruise buttons on the wheel???
If you have cruise and a defective clockspring, the 12V for the horn can leak into the cruise MUX circuit and it kills the sensor ground for the TPS, ECT, and MAP.
Pull the lower cover off of the column and unplug the clockspring... two flat connectors on a plastic housing behind the steering wheel.
It will turn on the SRS light but disconnecting the battery after plugging it back in will fix that.

2)
Why do you need to take your air bag out? If there is a reason let a professional do it.
3)
Yes its just some wire disconnects and bolts, but if you absolutely have to do it yourself make sure you disconnect the battery first.
