I don't want to hijack this thread, but this brings up a question...Napa has two brands of TPS, a Echlin, and a Delphi, which is $10 more. Is one better than the other?

Not really, the delphi is a better brand to trust and to me better quality

Default Hard start and stalling after IAC and TPS replacement

Got a 96 Cherokee and replaced the TPS and IAC with 97s. It is shifting like normal now but i have difficulty starting and constantly stalls. I need to floor the gas pedal before it starts and all well be fine. Once in a great while when I am at a traffic light and in gear, it would stall. By the way, when it does start without flooring the gas pedal, it is a little bit rough but eventually levels off. Disconnected the battery and re-started, again with the gas pedal all the way down. I slowly release the accelerator and it sounds great. But then I drive it around and it stalls.. HELP!!!

hear! hear! on autozones tps's i just bought one for my dodge car and it was bad,it threw a code, then the second one threw a code too, and the third one seems ok. disconnected the battery every time too. and u cant get your money back on them either, just keep exchanging them. which sucks.

I had a similar problem. Check your grounds from the battery. Mine would die at the light. Changed the battery and a few other things. Ended up changing the negative battery cable and cleaning up the contact points and worked like a champ. Cheap easy fix that may help you.
Good luck,
Lee
