Exclamation need help with radio/lighting problems

i have a 97 cherokee se, i went to install a new radio and i cut the existing wire harness off and spliced the the radios wires into those...after that nightmare i decided to put the original stereo back in < lol > i soldered the old wires back into place but now my instrument cluster, and rear tailights dont light up? Brake Lights work, the interior overhead light works as well as the headlights. Any ideas as to what i can do to fix this would be much appreciated. Going up a river with no paddle

You shorted the dimmer wire that goes to the factory radio when you cut the connector off, check the headlamp fuse.

Sounds like a fuse, your instrument cluster, park, tail and license light all share the same fuse. Check your fuses under the hood. Let us know what you figure out.
