need help with a power steering hose problem
im putting a new power steering hose on my 2000 cherokee and the threads that go on the bottom wont srew on it just keeps coming off every time i try to tighten it with a wrench any pointers thanks

Sounds like one of two things happened. Either you buggered up the threads on the hose or the fitting into the steering box. If it's the hose end, you'll have to fix the thread with a die or get another hose. If it's the box inlet, you'll have to fix the threads with a tap. Be very careful if you do this to remove all of the metal shards before you attach the hose.
Odds are you damaged the threads on the hose or it was defective from the start.

huh... You should be able to look at the threads on both the fittings and see physical damage. Things like flattened threads or chunks in them... If they look ok, then maybe its just the wrong size? I got new rotors for the front breaks and they turned out to be for a grand cherokees rear disc breaks... They looked right and bolted on just fine, but did not allow my tires to rotate. Point is, its pretty common to get the wrong part..
