i have a 91 cherokee limited with the I6 4.0
it will not start because of the anti theft feature.
how can i bypass or eliminate it, ive spent the last week everyday for hours working on it and getting nowhere.
i put an ignition switch and crank position sensor in it.
i tried grounding the orange and green wire in the kick panel and all the does is stop the actual alarm from going off. did not disable the whole anti theft security system.
when i turn the key i get no fuel pump and no check engine light and when i try to start there is no spark as well. if i leave the key in the on position the security light will turn on. my key does not work in the passenger door or the tail gate. only the drivers door and the ignition. i dont have the key fob for the car either. the previous owner had lost it.
I need answers and i need them quick.
If you have ANY suggestions please post. im open to trying anything at this point because i am completely lost with this whole thing though i do believe that its the security system.
please help
