Question Need Help With Lift

-Bastard Packs - You can also make your own leaf spring packs to provide a rear lift on your jeep. The two most common springs to use for this are s-10 springs or dodge Dakota rear springs. These are full leaf packs and are a much better alternative to any add-a-leaf kit and can usually be built for cheaper.

1. What year dodge dakota do i need to use...
2. If i get those s-10 springs or dodge dakota springs do i need to change anything for them to work...

You want the box style dakota and s-10 around 88 to 94 will work.

Now as for what you use you will take the entire leaf pack from the dakota/s-10 and cut off the spring eye hole on both sides.

The discard all the springs on your jeep spring pack except for the top spring (the one with the eye holes and the bottom overload spring(very bottom spring) and then sandwhich the dakota/s-10 springs between them.

The rebolt and have fun.

Here is a link to it being done with dakota springs scroll down about towards the bottom of the page to see it.

Thats dealing with the front part of the suspension the bastard packs are just for the rear.

Adding the pack will give you about 4" of lift in the rear.

You didnt say what your doing to lift the front of the jeep??

what are you doing to lift the front of the jeep?
