need help engine dies.
01 Cherokee 4.0
Drove home this morning and it ran fine. Forgot and left door ajar and ran battery down. Put on battery charger for a couple of hours. Now it wont start unless I give it gas! And it will not idle, you have to give it gas to keep it running?? Any ideals. I know how to overhaul it but dont know anything about the electronics or controls???????????

sounds like your battery is gone now. it might start it but i bet if you check the cells, you have dropped one of your cells and are actually only running off 5 cells. get a hydrometer and check your cell acidity
