Default need help

I have a 01 Cherokee 4.0 completely stock except for 30-950 tires. It has a Jasper rebuilt engine. Not sure of miles on engine vehicle has 115000 miles. Not bad. Automatic trans, daily driver most of the time. What can I say I love it. There are several reasons that I bought it. One of them is they have a history of getting decent gas mileage around 20 mpg. Well I am only getting around 13 and seems to be getting worse. Where do I need to start looking for the problem. There Has to be something wrong. How do I find out what. I really dont want to get rid of it. I bought it with intentions of keeping it in perfect mechanical conditon and driving it for a long time. Any help would be gratly appreciated.

I'd give her a tune up, plugs, wires, cap and rotor and make sure you have a clean air filter.

Fuel economy is entirely dependent on where and how you drive. As well a 5-speed will get slightly better numbers than an auto. I have a 2001 auto that get's 16 combined and I drive it easy, so your 13 is not that far from average especially if your driving in the city all the time. I had not heard of Jeeps being stellar performers when it comes to MPG numbers.

Both of those are the right/best answers.
