I have a 1998 cherokee limited 4.0 4x4 and having gauges problems . The check engine light is on and I am getting a p1698 code . I have repaired all the damaged wires in the door and checked the grounds all appear to be good . I can disconnect the tcm and the gauges will work plug it back in and the only gauge that works then is the battery meter . I have got another tcm and plugged it in and no change to the problem .
