Please help. my 01 cherokee sport makes a loud clunking noise when i turn, and i have no idea what it is.

 

could be a number of things. Ball joints tie rod ends track bar. Jack up one side of the jeep at a time. you can either pry with a pry bar at the ball joints to see if you have any play or place one hand a the top of the tire and one at the bottom and push with one hand and pull with the other and do it back and forth to see if you have any play. Then do the same thing but side to side on the tire to see if it is a tie rod end. Repeat on the other side of the jeep.
