Default need help

Search turned up nothing. Behind the lower dash passenger side there is what looks to be a computer box. It is not plugged into anything but there is a plug there that fits it. What is it. I'm a noon at these Jeeps. The box is attached to lower dash. It's a 92 Cherokee sport 4.0 4x4

Yellow box is for cruise control and silver would be TCU.

OK so the one on passenger side is silver near the heater fan. Any idea why it's unplugged lol it's a manual so I shouldn't have a tcu at least I don't think

Sorry, I have no idea what it is or why it's unplugged.. But i'd leave it alone 'as is' until I knew exactly what it is. (can you say 'electrical problems'?)

Yea plugged it in started the motor. No change so I'm unplugging it because on this Jeep if it ain't broke I'm not touching it lol. The wiring is a mess from po
