Big enough to wire a 8 guage power wire for my amplifier through the cabinet. What side and if possible details where to find it.

Driver side. Above the big harness. Below the brake stuff. It's got a black rubber grommet in it. There's actually about two holes there.

yo auburn - no drilling necessary. there should be a whole big enough on the passenger side by the door by the hinges. i will take a pic of it tomorrow and send it to you.

the hole that i used is on the front right inner wall (slightly to the left / below the coolant reservoir - see 1st pic). the wire that i used is 10 gauge. so you might just have to put a screw driver and widen it out to fit your 8 gauge. i ran the wire down close to the front door hinge. then i took out the rubber boot that covers the door hinge, ran the wire through there and reboot the hinge.

Don't do anything ghetto like going in the door grommet! Come on now! There is a large grommet on the passenger's side behind the power distribution box (on a 97+ at least) if you go though there it will drop out behind the passenger's kickpanel. Professional and clean. Its a pain and you might have to feed it a few times but it is well worth it to do it RIGHT.
