I must be Google searching the wrong keywords, but I am not finding the parts I need.

I DO NOT want to go to a wrecking / parts yard (bad experience at the local one and don't want to drive all over the place for another), but am looking for online parts.

I bought the XJ this week and the driver's side mirror was missing. I bought a new one (type with the little adjustment cable & control) but am missing other mounting parts.

In the little triangle space in the door in front of the window, there is what appear to be inner and outer triangle shaped rubber seals.

But there is nothing firm to mount to, no screws, and the three posts on the new mirror do not appear to be threaded, so I'm not even sure how you'd attach it to the car! Any thoughts or recommendations?

I have a 94 I'm parting out. Shall I get some pictures for you? It's been sitting so I don't remember if it's electric or manual.... I'll check in the morning and get back to you.
