Default Need to buy '99 head

Cracked my head when lower radiator hose blew. Any ideas for a '99 4L 6 cyl head?

A bit more info. It's an 030 casting. Mine looks nearly new, no carbon, very clean inside, 106k miles. Lower radiator hose blew on the freeway and in a few seconds water temp went full right, 265 degrees! I was a quarter mile to an exit so I coasted off the freeway exit and down hill to a parking area. Patched the hose with duct tape, added water and made it home. Replaced the hose and new water pump. CEL appeared, misfire on #1. Drove a hundred or so miles, intermittent misfire on #1, pulled head, gasket fine. In good light a very slight hairline crack is evident between the seats on #1.

Clearwater cylinder. I drive a 00' sport and my 0331 head is cracked. Now I'm rebuilding. Do you have the dreaded 0331 head? Grabbing one off of a junker is risky. That head may be the reason it IS a junker.

$450 delivered to my door from Clearwater, and it's beefier than the original.

Get a head from a junkyard from 96-99 and have a machine shop check it, put new valve seals in it and slap it back on

i would get a 91-96 head off the original H.O. motor. they are notorious for being stronger then the 97-99 heads, and (dont quote me on this) may even flow better too. it can take all the abuse you can throw at it
