Cabt you turn the self adjusters to get the pads to release of the drum some?
Usually they get stuck because the pads wear into the drum which creates a lip and the lip can pass of ther pad.
Like stated you can beat em off with a mallet or try letting out the self adjusters which you should be able to turn with a flathead in the back of the drum mounting plate.
