Lame! I have 2 alternators somehow... how would I even start. This only happens when I am running heat and lights. Could it be the battery?

remove all your connections and battery terminals and spray them down with electric connection cleaner.. and clean up the battery terminals and hook everything back up see if that helps at all. good luck

On mine, the voltage dropping is the first sign I see when my belt is slipping. (granted, low voltage could be allot of things). Mine idles right around 14 with a DVM right on the battery, with everything on.
A side note. I tightened my new O'Relies belt about 3 times. I don't normally run it as tight as some might, trying to save bearings. In the end what finally solved it was to go out there with Dawn dish soap and apply it and water to both sides of the belt with it running, then still running ran a hose on it for a good while to completely rinse it. Sounds goofy I know. Never felt like doing that before. All I can guess is the belt came with some sort of coating. That did it, no more slipping or chirping. I've got 1/2 a mind to go back and loosen it a tad now!
Two Alternators? Did someone add a "weldernator?" Are you sure you are not looking at the AC compressor?

Go get yourself a voltage tester. I don't know how any Jeep owner cannot own one with the ****-load of electrical issues we have.
Check your belt to see if it's tight enough too.

This is your second posting saying you have 2 alternators. WTF?? Please post pics of this because I know that I cannot be the only one confused by this. You have had to have an extra put on by the P.O. for field welding or something. I would trace where those other wires are going to.

Its retarded. I know. The po was a master at rigging apparently. The second alt is linked to the original alt which os linked to the battery which is linked to the after market msd ignition. He has a switch installed under the 4wd lever that controls the alternator up top. Which is a chevy btw. And you can't turn the jeep off with the key alone. You have to turn the key off then flip the switch turning the alternator off thus shutting the jeep down. I am at a loss
