my rig leaks tranny fluid sometimes. i took it to one mechanic and he said it was the seal and filter kit i needed to replace so i bought it and had him do it up. it still leaks i took it to another guy said it was a hose that cost 50 bucks i had him replace it. still leaks. then took it to another guy who said it was the seal and filter kit needs to be redone. i told him i just had it done he said "oh well id have to look at it again then". and i wonder if he dosnt want to insult the mechanic that did the job before.

long story short. tranny leak. had the pan gasket and that whole kit done recently and it has still leaked.

i checked it out myself and its either leaking down the entine tranny and in line with the screws of the buttom pan or its leaking out the screw hole of the pan on the tranny. maybe the dude over tightened the pan screw there a little and it gave weigh???

also and over filling the tranny fluid cause a leak?

 

overfilling could cause a leak, and also itll cause the fluid on your dipstick to be foamy
