Newbie to the forum but, not to jeeps.
I have a 1985 Cherokee Chief with a 95 yj 4.0 motor. Ive been having some trouble the last 5 months.
One day my jeep died and would not start turned out to be a short in the main wire to the computer. This was fixed, but now my jeep runs intermittently. Some days it will start up fine. Most of the time it starts with a rough idle and has no power, missing, backfire, etc.
Ive put loads of new parts into it and cant figure it out.
Heres a list of whats new.
fuel pump,fuel pressure regulator, Map sensor, ignition coil, plugs, wires, distributor, and relays.
The throttle body sensor has the correct voltage so i dont believe thats the problem. Is it possibly my ECU?
