My own lil brake issue
I have a 97 XJ with a 6.5 rc lift.
My issue is that I can not get fluid to rear axle. I checked the mc and it is pumping it out there but it is not getting past the combi valve. From what I have seen this seems to be a common issue. My question is two part. First is the oem valve mod of removing the o-ring an option to fix this? And secondly if the answer to my first question is no, what are my alternatives?
Thanks in advance.

ok
Ive tried to gravity feed, vaccum, and just about everything else under the sun to get the juice to flowing.........and nothin'. Can not get it past the portioning/combi valve. pumps fine from mc to valve but the buck stops there. Front brakes are working great just no rears or e brake.

New line from combi valve to rear axle and braided line to diff dist block.
Valve is not moving when brake is pressed. Got new one this morning. $106 yeouch!!!!!! And still have the same issue. So everything is new and bleed correctly but yet still have no fluid going to rear of this thing.

Spent the day trying to figure this out. Still nothing. Anyone got any ideas? If not I am going to have to do something drastic to get it working and would like to fix what comes in it stock to save the cash.

Sounds like a clog or a pinch in the brake line. Does fluid pass from the MC to the proportioning valve? Unscrew the line and see if fluid makes it that far.
If it makes it that far, then unbolt the line that runs to the back of the jeep and see if fluid leaks out of that port. If it leaks there then disconnect the rubber line at the back of the jeep and see if the fluid makes it that far.
Keep following the system till you find a point where it stops.

figured it out but....
Well I figured it out I think. But it really does not make much since to me. Went to a local 4x4 shop and talked to the old guy that runs the joint. He asked if I looked at the front brakes closely. I said yes but he got me thinking. So back to my shop and another tear down of the front. Cross refrenced the casting numbers and found that the front calipers are from a GC. So Tolked to old guy again and recomended swaping in the GC Combi valve. Insto Presto fluid to the rear. So now I wondering WTH arent the GC calipers almost identical? And why in the heck did the PO swap front and not the rear as well? Oh well at least now I have brakes at all 4 corners.
