Default my new jeep will be here in an hour

i just picked up a 2000 cherokee with a little bit of work done to it. 5.5 rubicon express long arm, toms woods drive shafts, winch, lights, 33's, and it was obviouslt wheeled. what besides rust should i look for before i close the deal? the guy will be here soon hahaha

If its cheap take it with out any questions, otherwise look for oil seepage and take it for a test run, use the 4wd as well even if it is only on a gravel road

oil and water leaks,look in the air claener box,the cap n rotor,any crazy wireing.

Ummmm Well, I'm kind of new too, but make sure the rockers and frame aren't too rusted. Since it was wheeled, check for any bad damages under the jeep. Take it for a drive so that you can see if there's anything wrong mechanically. Maybe, make sure that the axles are not leaking (???) It's not that hard to fix, but if you need to pay someone to do it, it could get expensive.

Like I said before, I'm new to this too, I'm just shooting ideas Oh yeah, make sure the 4X4 still works. Why is he selling it??

thanks everyone. im a mechanic so engine trans problems are cake.. just new to jeeps. oh and btw the reason i bought it is to chop it. so you guys are in for a treat. i have a whole welding shop and body shop waiting for this project. im going to make it one of the cleanest chops ever made and i promise i will give you guys a good write up all about it

please tell me your gonna reinforce it because I don't like to hear about unibody's being chopped without much thought

well im working with a guy that did two of them a cage isnt first on my list but it will be done before ant serious wheeling, along with arb lockers and a few other drivetrain touches
