Okay well my jeep seems to jump..well it's hard to describe. It makes a small sound as well. This happens when i'm going up hill or let of the gas at speeds above 30. Could it be that there is some slack and some friction in my throttle wire, and its just not reacting the same time as i let off the gas. Or something else?

Well since I'm not sure exactly what you are experiencing, I'll go with "Jumping when you get off the gas". This could be caused by worn U-joints on the rear DS or improper backlash setting in the rear ring and pinion.

is there anything i could do to diagnose it? I broke sway bar and haven't got around to fixing it, its just one of the link though. Hmmm.... I was thinking the u joints, how can I check them? Can I adjust the backlash settings??

Get under your jeep and try to wiggle the DS. Put ever ounce of a$$ into it you have. The DS shouldn't move side to side at all. If it does, the U-joints are worn and need replaced. The backlash can be adjusted but, if the Jeep has high miles on it chances are there is just something in the rear diff. worn.

Mine does the same thing when stopping and starting sometimes. At first I thought it was something in the tranny. Now it feels like it is in the rear suspension. I feel it when I come to a hard stop so that the front dives and the rear of the Jeep sticks up a little. Then when I start up again the back drops under acceleration and I feel a little "jump". I wonder if we're experiencing the same thing.

x2. Go check your motor mounts. I just got done replacing mine. It would jump bad off road on hill climbs. Also would jump when being put into gear. Just go visually inspect them pretty easy to tell if the bushing is bad. Also you can have a friend rev your motor up while your watching the engine. If it is moving from side to side alot chances are the motor mount is bad.

These are the exact symptoms my Jeep was giving me. Could be a bad ujoint but my guess would be the motor mounts. Only took me couple hours to swap them out. I was goofing off most the time though. Here's a link to some pics of the bushings I replaced: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/showth...?t=4784&page=4
