I was driving home, and my driveway is a narrow gravel driveway off a narrow gravel road. on the left side of my driveway there was a ditch then a stump. When I turned right off the road onto the driveway my power steering had chosen that moment to run out of oil my steering locked up, my brakes werent good enough so i hit the ditch, popped my front end up and came down fairly hard on the large stump putting it pretty much right under the dash of my car. Im worried about what it may have done to my Jeep and I was hoping somone would help me know what to check. I looked underneath and there isnt anything large and broken or obviously cracked etc. Help please.

Check your pans... best hope thats all that.
Lift it and crawl around. you WILL find where it hit. Oil/grease will be moved/cleaned off. it is a jeep... you have grease everywhere down there
Try and trace the damage, make sure everything is square and in place. Personally, I think you hit the bell housing of your transmission or the exhaust right behind it from where you described it hit.
If you see don't see anything serious and your driveline is straight, just take it easy.

in all likelihood you'll be fine. The undercarriage is pretty resilient. Just check your oil/transmission pans and see if you see anything obviously bent.
^^^ yea, the front end is more vulnerable to those type of hits, generally speaking... i know i am the reason my old tie rod had a big bend in it
the new one i got does the trick, though.. but there is more linkage than just the tie rod, but it is usually the lowest and most forward part, so it takes the hit first. the easiest suggestion is to check everything thats highlighted in this pic:

When I drove it at first there was a buzzing sounding like it came from under my shifter but then it stopped later and when i switch into 4 wheel drive it hums at me. I looked underneath no more oil leaking than before but my power steering fluid is leaking faster but that could be totally unrelated or just from the jolt... gotta replace high pressure hose. Thoughts?
