Default My AW4 is pretty screwed up it seems

Ok well, for the past maybe 3 weeks my transmission hasnt liked to lock the torque converter, the transmission seems to have to be warm (like driving for a while) before the TC will lock at all and it still only does it occaisionally. When it does lock up however the whole vehicle violently shakes and there is a loud grinding sound like driving over the rumble patch on a highway.

Im planning to swap it out for an AX-15 eventually but thats out of the realm of possibility for at least a few monthes. If its reasonably simple and not requiring me to crack it open i'd like to fix it, so anyone have any ideas as to what this could be, beats the heck out of me, and im surprised it even has a rpoblem since it only has 75kmi on it, but w/e.

Mine doesn't work too, it's typical. It will consume a little more fuel but that's all.
The noise is prolly a bad engine mount or the tranny mount, maybe the tail pipe touching the tank.

Fluid level is fine, right where it should be. However the fluid has never been changed to the best of my knowledge I wasnt going to bother since its coming out in a couple monthes anyways, its almost black and has a funny smell to it though I dont think that would be whats causing the issue, should just make it wear slightly faster having sh**** fluid in it, especially since the TC lockup is whats messed up which doesnt have anything to do with fluid, its a clutch.

well since the lock up is hydraulically activated the lines to the clutch could be clogged but if it is black don't change it.

Yeah, I just breezed through what you wrote at first and didn't pay much attention to anything that wasn't the title of the thread or that it was grinding.
